SINCE WHEN...

Does it snow in April? Since now I guess... It was snowing really hard last night and when I woke up this morning there was about 2 inches of snow on top of everything. Now, it's all melted and the sun has come out making it so hot I have to open all the windows! CRAZY!!!

So, I wanted to make some rings with my shrink plastic charms but I got the ring blanks yesterday and I realized that if I glue the charms on them they wont fit into my boxes and Canada Post has that stupid 2cm height requirement. Meaning it will probably cost me $6 or $7 to ship it out... I don't know what to do now :(

Oh yeah, I finally got around to buying my domain :D http://thetinyfig.com/ I forwarded it to my Etsy shop but I'm wondering if maybe it's better I forward it here?

i had the same problem: i found the cutest little boxes, and i had them in mind to use with my new rings, but when i took a ring to the store and tried to stick it in the box, it didn't fit :(. at least i tried it out in the store before i bought it for that specific purpose, i guess. good luck finding a solution!

i think it should definately forward to your shop. that's the most important thing: you're looking to sell things! stick your blog url in your shop announcement, and then your domain viewers AND your shop customers will see you have a blog, plus you are making your shop the main emphasis by forwarding your domain to your shop. (did that make any sense? sometimes my thoughts don't come out coherently, haha)

How annoying about the rings! I hate having to pay attention to trhe size of everything too :S

I agree with Melissa, forwarding it to your shop is better, especially when you want to tell people about your shop who don't know about Etsy. It's so much easier if they just have to remember TheTinyFig :)

I don't sell any of my handmade rings online yet so I don't have such problems yet. But yes, what a bummer! Hope they didn't cost you too much!
Having your own domain looks & sounds so much nicer, isn't it? I don't know the mechanics of all these domains ( how, what, etc.) but my husband had the forsight to register these (email, blog, shop), looong before I started selling online! So thank goodness for s computer-savvy honey!
