Sunday was the Moon Festival. It's not widely celebrated here in Canada like it is in Asia but we still have moon cake and lanterns for the kids.
For those of you who don't know what moon cake is it's basically the yolk of a preserved duck egg inside a casing of lotus paste and a soft outer shell. Imagine salty and sweet at the same time. Personally, I don't really like the stuff but it's once a year so what the heck.
We're not kids anymore and we didn't buy lanterns so here's our home made lantern made out of a pomelo skin. hehe :)
