A day at Granville Island.

I guess if you don't live in Vancouver you don't know what Granville Island is. It's not a real island I don't know why it's named that I never bothered to find out but it's home to some of Vancouver's most talented artists. It's one of our most popular tourist attractions. It's located on the side of False Creek and there is a market, several galleries, ceramic studios, paper stores, book stores, textile stores, art stores, bakeries, restaurants and even a glass studio where you can watch the owner blow glass. It's also the home of the Emily Carr Institute. I love to go down there every chance I get. Actually, I use to work at one of the French bakeries there. (It's amazing that I never gained a pound while working there after all the pastries I consumed!) Anyways, I wanted to talk about this amazing chocolate shop that they have there called ChocolaTas. I swear I stood in front of their display for 20 mins just trying to figure out how the heck they make them. They are so creative and so unique not only by the way they look but the flavors. I couldn't make up my mind which ones to buy because of course I wanted all the pretty ones but all the pretty ones had funky flavors that I didn't like so I ended up not getting any. I really wish I had a camera with me but I didn't so I pulled a photo off their website so you can stare and drool. Check out their collection and you'll be drooling non-stop like me http://www.chocolatas.com/chocolates.html
