I've decided to have a sale to finish off October
Doing inventory sucks!
It took me 3 hours to count each and every little piece of stuff that I have in stock and all of my supplies... -__- I am exhausted. Anyways, I snapped some photos of my collection of cute ceramic piggy banks. I got them from the "dollar" store for $3 each a while ago. Oh and I made some cute fabric covered buttons with the scrap fabric I used to line my purse. Which reminds me that I still need to take a photograph of that!

I forgot to mention
that my pink birdy hair pins are being featured on neatostuff a great blog that features cool shops.
What a great morning!
The sun is out in late Oct which is rare, I have orders waiting to be packed, a new camera to play with, and a blog feature from Studio M.
*sniffff*
my bangs looks like they got chewed on by my dog.
One of the many reasons I have not started making plushies.

I think it's time
that I make good use of my Gocco. I have my cardstock all lined up to cut and that's what I'll be doing tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have time to head to staples and get some photocopies of my work so I can burn the screens. It's been slow in the shop so I finally have time to do some screen printing again! My canvas is all ironed out and ready to go! I just need to cut some stencils with my cricut if I can get it working properly.
I've also been working on a handbag the last week. Well, mom and I made one and it turned out pretty great but my camera is too crapped out to take a good photo of it so I'll just have to wait till I get a new one to show you. I've been thinking about making lunch bags with some of the fabric I'll be screen printing. Do people still use those?
I really need a new camera as you can probably tell from my very funky color thanksgiving pics. I'll probably have a new one by the end of the month any good recommendations? I think I'm probably going to get a canon point and shoot. I so want a Digital SLR haha maybe in my dreams. Anyways, lots to do tomorrow so have a good night everyone!

Thanksgiving was great!
I meant to update my blog sooner but I've been a bit under the weather since before Thanksgiving. I caught a nasty cold that just wouldn't go away.
Anyways, my first turkey turned out awesome! I was so afraid it was going to be under cooked because it cooked so fast! 2.5 hours for a 16 pound turkey is fast no? The instructions said it was going to take 4 hours but it turned out super moist and juicy.
turkey!
mm look at all that good food!

Oh my, I almost forgot that it was Thanksgiving on Monday.
If you're in the U.S. you're probably thinking that Thanksgiving is a month away but in Canada it's on Monday!!! My family usually gets together at a relative's house and we have a huge feast but this year everyone is lazy so for the first time every I am making my own turkey!
On the menu:
- Salad
- Butter herb roasted turkey with gravy
- Mashed potatoes maybe mix in some sweet potatoes
- Maple glazed veggies
- And I am buying a pie because puff pastry just ain't my thing. I'm craving pumpkin and butter tarts from the bakery I use to work at. I hope I have time to swing by there.
Am I missing anything? We're asian so I really have no idea what a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is like. hehe I think I'm going to be eatting turkey sandwiches for a week. There's only 4 of us and I got a 12 pound turkey haha oh well it should be fun I'll try to snap some photos for later :)

ARrrghh!
My jaw hurts. I just got back from the dentist and my jaw hurts like hell from keeping it open to fix my wisdom teeth :( I have to go again on Thursday to fix more teeth how sad!
Anyways, at least today was a nice day and I got to go outside and spray coat my shrink plastic. Now, if only the rest of it would cut itself my day would be great. haha obviously that's not going to happen so I guess my holiday charms and earrings will just have to wait until the next sunny day to make their big debut in my shop.
I'm gonna go have a popsicle now. Have a great day!

A day at Granville Island.
I guess if you don't live in Vancouver you don't know what Granville Island is. It's not a real island I don't know why it's named that I never bothered to find out but it's home to some of Vancouver's most talented artists. It's one of our most popular tourist attractions. It's located on the side of False Creek and there is a market, several galleries, ceramic studios, paper stores, book stores, textile stores, art stores, bakeries, restaurants and even a glass studio where you can watch the owner blow glass. It's also the home of the Emily Carr Institute. I love to go down there every chance I get. Actually, I use to work at one of the French bakeries there. (It's amazing that I never gained a pound while working there after all the pastries I consumed!) Anyways, I wanted to talk about this amazing chocolate shop that they have there called ChocolaTas. I swear I stood in front of their display for 20 mins just trying to figure out how the heck they make them. They are so creative and so unique not only by the way they look but the flavors. I couldn't make up my mind which ones to buy because of course I wanted all the pretty ones but all the pretty ones had funky flavors that I didn't like so I ended up not getting any. I really wish I had a camera with me but I didn't so I pulled a photo off their website so you can stare and drool. Check out their collection and you'll be drooling non-stop like me http://www.chocolatas.com/chocolates.html
